Unusual washer noises

Washer gurgling noise

This sound shows something may have blocked the drain tube but not completely. This clogging should be immediately solved. Otherwise, it may cause the tube to burst.

Washer clicking noise

Washer clicking noise means something is stuck in the drain gasket or the door seal. Maybe a coin, key, pin or any other object in your cloth's pocket is making this noise in the washer. Just remove the external object to solve this problem.

Washer humming noise

Again the noise is related to an external object but this time in the washer pump. Pay attention that the washing machine pump can't let the object pass. So it will really be damaged. You may be even forced to replace the pump. So, take this noise seriously.

Washer squeaking noise

This washer noise simply means there is too much load or the appliance is not level. Technical problems like faulty springs, bearings, motor or any other faulty part can also make the squeaking noise.

What causes the washer unusual noises?

Badly positioned washer door seal is making some noise

If the door gasket is out of place, it may rub against the drum and make a loud noise during the spinning time. Put the seal in its place and if the washer still has the noise, replace the gasket.

Faulty motor can make funny noises

The washing machine motor rotates the drum. If it has extra noises, it means the bearings are faulty and the motor should be replaced. If the washer motor has some worn out carbon brushes whose length is less than 1 cm, they may cause a lot of noise and should be replaced.
